Desirée Moreno (Higueruelas, Valencia, 1997) began her artistic studies in 2015 with a degree in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València, where she focused her career in art, specializing in printmaking and drawing. After graduating, she began the Master's in Graphic Work at the Fundación CIEC in 2019, expanding her knowledge in graphic arts. She continued to develop her work at the printmaking workshops of the Fundación BilbaoArte for a period, and later returned to BilbaoArte thanks to the Production Grants Scholarship from February to June 2023. She has taken a course at Taller Gravura in Málaga, taught by Paco Aguilar, with the award she obtained in Alma Gráfica. She also attended a Photogravure course taught by Juan Lara at the Graphic Art Workshops of the Fundación Joan Miró in Mallorca, thanks to a scholarship. Her work has been recognized with various awards, such as the first prize in Graphic Art for Young Creators and the first prize in Plastic Arts DCOOP. She has also received several Honorable Mentions in the “Pedro Vivanco Printmaking and Wine Award,” “San Lorenzo de El Escorial,” and the “Can Gelabert Plastic Arts Competition.” She has held several group and solo exhibitions, highlighting her latest solo exhibition “Donde hubo luz” at MA Arte contemporáneo Gallery in 2024, and her recent exhibition “¿Cuándo duerme la luz?” at Torre de Ariz, Basauri. She has also participated in various printmaking fairs and meetings such as Open Portfolio, multiple editions of Alma Gráfica, and the 12th edition of FIG Bilbao 2023 and 2024.
