As a child, I loved drawing and coloring Japanese manga pictures. I studied graphic design at Macau Polytechnic University and, after graduating, worked for many years in related fields, which strengthened my knowledge and practical skills in all aspects of graphic design. All this has influenced my artistic creations. Later, I went to France to continue my studies and obtained a degree in plastic arts from the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Toulon, specializing in video art installation. After my return to Macau, I learned printmaking at the Macau Art Museum workshop with master James WONG. As engraving is a means of "plural art", it reminded me of the pleasure of copying that I felt as a child, which attracted me deeply. I then combined traditional intaglio with modern digital printing to produce intaglio prints with hand-drawn black outlines and colored digital images. The work representative of this technique, "Macau People", won the gold medal at "La Deuxième Triennale de Gravure de Macao" in 2015. This honor encouraged me to further my studies in France, where I obtained a master's degree in plastic arts at the University of Paris VIII, where I studied personal creation and the theories of contemporary printmaking. During this period, I studied printmaking in various workshops in Paris, which led me to become interested in different printmaking techniques, and I tried to mix different techniques to create my work. Most of my creations are inspired by personal experience, growth and the expression of inner emotions. I have explored cultural differences, contradictions and interactions that arise between people, the world, the social environment and nature, as well as the perception of life and the feelings of the soul. By expressing myself in different artistic languages and using several media, including installation, video, printmaking and photography. I was able to express my feelings, my thoughts and my desire to communicate with the outside world. My work has been exhibited in France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Beijing, Taiwan and Macao. I currently live and work in Paris and Macao.
