Based in Marseille for 30 years, Julien Loïs, artist, illustrator and graphic designer, draws anthropomorphic characters, half-animal half-human, evolving in a crazy and powerful urban environment. He also produces more realistic and expressive portraits of anonymous people. Strongly influenced by hip-hop culture, and bordering on street art (which he practiced for a long time, painting and pasting original drawings on the walls of Marseilles and other cities), he has worked for Fluide Glacial, Chinese Man Records and a number of national newspapers, including Télérama. Also a poster artist and letter painter, he has produced numerous visuals for the music world.

In 2011 and 2012, he published his first two collections of illustrations with Editions Charrette. He will then publish his first comic, "Pas de panic à Sonic City", with Editions Même pas mal, followed by "Rua Viva" with AAARG!
